I did it! I got Bryce on my Linux machine, thanks to Wine! For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, I have a Linux machine (it's main purpose is to store backups, though I also use it to run zavabot) and I have my Windows machine (my primary machine, used for gaming, browsing, coding, etc.), sometimes my Windows machine may decide to crash, thus losing any renders I may have been running. Now that I have got Bryce 5.5 on my Linux, I have no worries. Oh, and if you're wondering what
Wine is, it's sort of like a Windows emulator for Linux. Since this is a little buggy, I'm going to continue building my 3D images on my Windows machine, then send it to my Linux machine for high-quality rendering.
So, you should start to see more 3D imagery from me now that I have this set up. If not, I'm probably contributing the time and imagery to my secret calendar project.
Unrelated question:
Is my new avatar too animated? Does it annoy you after awhile?
